Overview:
WellsTrade (Wells Fargo) offers a nice selection of research tools. The offerings include general market information, general news articles, company specific news, company regulatory filings and company financial statements. The stock screener needs some improvement before it is useful but the events calendar is very well done.

WellsTrade has research tools found by going to the News & Research tab within online services. On this main page you will find the day's market overview, most active stocks, industry overviews, after hours news, analyst upgrades/downgrades and general news:
News articles are provided by MarketWatch.com and PR Newswire and can be filtered by stock symbol and date range.
Standard & Poor's provides company research reports, Wall St. consensus views, outlook by industry and institutional ownership information.
Stock profiles contain a list of company competitors, insider transaction history, earnings history, SEC filings and analyst ratings. The basic financial statements - balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows - are also included. Here you can see the balance sheet for Apple:
A stock screener with a scant 28 criteria is available. Because of the limited options, many of which are not customizable, the screener is just not that useful. Here are the results from a screen that I ran on various fundamental criteria:
An events calendar is also available that can be broken down by earnings releases, stock splits, ex-dividend dates, conference calls, and economic events. This feature is very well done and one of the best calendars offered by any of the reviewed brokers. Here is a weekly look at upcoming economic events:
